கச்சத்தீவு மற்றும் நெடுந்தீவு கடற்பகுதிகளில் மீன்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த தமிழ்நாட்டு மீனவர்கள் 22 பேரை இலங்கை கடற்படை கைது செய்தது. நடுக்கடலில் மீன்பிடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த மீனவர்களை 3 படகுகளுடன் இலங்கை படை சிறைபிடித்தது. இலங்கை கடற்படை கைதுசெய்து அழைத்துச் சென்ற 22 மீனவர்களை உடனே விடுவிக்க வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
