சூடான் நாட்டில் சிக்கித்தவித்த 247 தமிழர்கள் தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் முயற்சியால் மீட்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். தமிழ்நாடு அரசு சார்பில் உதவி மையங்கள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு தமிழர்களை மீட்க நடவடிக்கை மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டது. கடந்த 5-ம் தேதி வரையிலும் 31 மாவட்டங்களை சேர்ந்த 247 தமிழர்கள் மீட்கப்பட்டுள்ளார்.
