ATIRASAM
| 1 cup rice |
1/2 tbsp sesame seeds |
| 1 cup jaggery |
2 cardamoms |
| 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds |
oil for deep frying |
* Soak the rice in water for 2 hours. Drain and pound into
a fine powder.
* Melt jaggery and make into a thin syrup.
* Add the rice flour to the syrup and cook. When
the mixture is blended remove from the fire.
* Add roasted poppy seeds and sesame seeds.
* Add crushed cardamoms.Leave aside for 24 hours.
* Make into small balls, flatten into small round puris
and deep fry in oil.Drain and store.
