Red pumpkin Curry

500 gms red pumpkin
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 coconut ,scraped
2 cup milk
200 gms jaggery
a few curry leaves
1 tbsp cashewnuts
oil as needed
1 tbsp poppy seeds
salt to taste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
3 red chillies
Peel and cut the pumpkin into cubes.
Grind scraped coconut, cashewnuts and poppy seeds to a fine paste.
Heat 5 tbsps oil and fry the mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves.
Add turmeric powder and the ground paste.
After a few minutes , add the cubed pumpkin and cook on a low fire.
Add the jaggery,a pinch of salt and milk.
Cook till the vegetable is soft.
