Tamato Sambhar
THKALI SAMBHAR
4 big tomatoesa   1/2tsp fenugreek seeds 
8 lady's fingers small ball of jaggerry
2 cups thuvar dal 1/2tsp cumin seeds 
2 tsps sambhar powder  a pinch of asafoetida 
1/2tsp turmeric powder a few curry leaves 
1 tsp coriander powder  oil as needed 
1 tsp chilli powder one cup chopped coriander leaves 
1/2tsp mustard seeds salt to taste
1/2cup tamarind pulp 
 * Cut the lady's finger into pieces . Cut the tomatoes into four pieces each.
* Pressure cook the thuvar dal with adequate water till tender. Churn. Add the vegetables ,chilly powers , turmeric powder, coriander powder and sambhar powder and cook till the vegetables are tender.
* Add the tamarind pulp , salt and jaggery. Cook till well blended.
* Heat six tbsps oil. Fry mustard seeds cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds asafoetida and curry leaves pour over sambhar. Cook for a while on a low fire .
* Remove. Add coriander leaves and serve hot with idlis oice .
