* Cook chana dal in water till soft and dry.
* Grind the chana dal to a fine paste .
* Melt the jaggery and add the scrapped coconut and chana
dal paste.
* Cook in to a soft dough.Add cardamom powder.
* Now sieve the flour and add a pinch of turmeric powder.
* Make into a soft dough with water and a little oil
and leave aside for an hour.
* Take a small ball of the dough.Roll out into a thin
round.Keep a ball of the jaggery mixture in the centre.Fold into a ball
and reroll into a circular poli.
* Cook on a low fire on a griddle,smearing a little ghee
on both sides.
* Finish making polis one at a time.Serve when cool.
