Mixed lentil pancakes
PARUPPU ADAI
| 1 cup rice |
2 green chillies |
| 1 cup thuvar dal |
2 onions |
| 1 cup urad dal |
a pinch of asefoetida |
| 1/2cup moong dal |
a few curry leaves |
| 1/2cup chana dal |
oil as needed |
| 6 red chillies |
salt to taste |
* Soak the rice and all the dals in water for 6 hours.
* Grind them with red and green chillies,asafoetida and
salt to the paste.
* Add finely chopped onions and curry leaves.
* Make the batter to a poring consistency.
* Heat a gridle, smear with oil and pour a spoonful of
the batter.Spread into a circle and apply oil around the paruppu adai.
* Cook on the two sides.Serve with chutney or sambhar
or butter.
