Dal Rolls in Buttermilk
PAPPU UNTA MAJI KAPULUSU
1 cup thuvar dal  8 curry leaves 
1/4cup chana dal  a pinch of asafoetida 
1 tsp garram masala 1 cup coriander leaves
1 cup coconut,scrapped 1 tsp turmeric powder 
2 green chillies  oil as needed 
3 onions  salt to taste 

* Soak both the dals in water for 2 hours. Drain and groind coarsely.
* Add to the paste onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, finely chopped, and salt, asafoetida, coconut scrapings, curry leaves, garam masala and turmeric.Mix well
* Shape the paste into oblong rolls.
* Steam in an idli steamer for half an hour til done. Remove and cut into thick silicies.
