Rice Pudding
PAL PAYASAM
1 litre milk 1 tbsp raisins 
1 tbsp rice 1/4 tsp saffron 
1 cup sugar 4 cardamoms
1 tbsp cashewnuts 
 

* Boil the milk with rice and cook till the quantity is reduced to half.
* When the rice is very soft add sugar and cook till the payasam is thick and creamy.
* Garnish with cardamom powder,fried cashewnuts and raisins.Add saffron dissolved in a teaspoon of milk.Serve hot or cold.
