Sesame Seed Chutney
NUVULA PODI
1 cup white sesame seeds  
a pinch of asafoetida  
1/4 cup peanuts  
a tiny ball of jaggery  
8 red chillies a small ball of tamarind  
1 tbsp urad dal  
oil as needed 
1 tbsp desiccated coconut  
salt to taste 
 
  • Dry roast the assame seeds.
  • Fry red chillies,peanuts, urad dal. coconut and asafoetida in 1 tsp oil till brown.
  • Pound sesame seeds and the fried ingredients with tamarind , salt and jaggery.
  • Store in an airtight jar.
