Wheat Pudding
GODUMAI HALWA
500 gms whole wheat  1 tbsp cashewnuts 
2 cardamoms  a pinch of saffron 
500 gms sugar  1tbsp raisins 
250 gms ghee 
* Soak the wheat for 72 hours in water .
* Clean and grind the wheat and extract essence through a sieve.
* Keep grinding and extracting essence till only the husk is left.down the bottom.
* Leave the essence to settle down.The wheat paste will settle down at the bottom.
* Make a syrup of the sugar with water to one strring consistency.
* Remove water from the wheat essence and add only the wheat paste to the sugar syrup.
* Keep stirring,adding ghee every now and then.
* When the halwa leaves the sides of the pan and the ghee is finished,sprinkle powdered cardamom,raisins and fried cashewnuts.
* Add the saffron dissolved in a little milk.
* Pour the mixture into a greased plate.When cool,cut into squares.
