Beans and Gran Dal
CHIKKUDUKAYA SANGAPAPPUKURA
500 gms beans (papdi)
2 tbsps chana dal
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
oil as needed
1 tbsp desiccated coconut (copra)
salt to taste
String the beans and cut them into 1 cm pieces.
Roast chana dal, coconut red chillies, turmeric and garlic and pound them.
Heat 4 tbsp oil and fry the mustard seeds.
Add the beans and cook covered on a low fire.
When the vegetable is cooked , add the powdered masala and salt to taste.
Stir well and fry for a while . Remove from the fire.
