Jackfruit Seed Sweet
CHAKKASEED HALWA
| 250 gms jackfruit seeds |
2 cardamoms |
| 125 gms sugar |
1 tbsp cashewnuts |
| 100 gms ghee |
1 tbsp raisins |
| 1 cup milk |

* Peel and pressure cook the jackfruit seeds and remove skins.
* Grind to a fine paste with some milk and keep aside.
* Now make a syrup of the remaining milk and sugar.
* When the syrup thickness to one string consistency
add the ground paste to it.
* Keep stirring,adding ghee, a little at a time.
* When the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and is
cooked well,add cardamom powder and fried raisins and cashewnuts.
* Pour on a greased plate and leave to cool.
* When still warm cut into small squares.
