Potato Savoury
ALUGEDDE MASALA
250 gms potatoes
a small ball of tamarind
4 red chillies
3 tbsps coconut oil
8 cloves garlic, crushed
salt to taste
Peel and cut potatoes into thin pieces.
Soak tamarind in water and extract thick pulp.
Wash the potato pieces . Dry and apply salt and tamarind juice.
Heat the oil and fry the crushed garlic.
Add the potatoes and cook on a low fire. Sprinkle water occasionally, if require. Remove when done.
Variation: Colocasia (arbi) can also be used instead of potatoes.
