Rice and Lennthil Khichdi
VEN PONGAL
3 cups rice
1cm piece ginger
1 tbsps moong dal
1/4cup ghee
1 tsp pepper-cumin seed powder
a few curry leaves
1 tbsp fried cashewnuts
salt to taste
* Boil the rice and moong dal together in just enough water till very soft.Remove from the rice.
* Chop ginger and add to the rice.
* Mix rice,pepper cuminseed powder,salt,cashewnuts,curry leaves and ghee.
* Serve hot with coconut chutney.
