Lentil Balls in Curd
THAYIR WADAI
| 1 cup urad dal |
5 curry leaves |
| 4 cup thick fresh curd |
1/2tsp mustard seeds |
| 1/2tsp mustard seeds |
1/4tsp asafoetida |
| 1 cm piece ginger |
oil as needed |
| 1 tsp chilli ppowder |
salt to taste |
| 1 gren chilli |

* Soak the dal for 6 hours and grind with ssalt, green chilliand
ginger without adding too much water.
* Heat oil for deep frying and fry balls of the mixture.Drain
the wadas.
* Soak in hot waterr offr a few minutes. Squeeze out
the water and reserve.
* Beat the curd.Soak the fried wadas in it.
* Leave for half an hour.
* Sprinkle chilli powder and salt.
* In 1 tbsp oil fry asafoetida mmustard seeds and curry
leaves.
* Pour over chilled thayirwadai before serving.
