Lentil Balls
AMAIWADAI
2 cups  chana dal   2 onions
1/2cup thuvar dal  a pinch of asafoetida
1/2cup urad dal a pinch of asafoetida 
1/2cup moong dal a few curry leaves 
10 red chillies oil as needed 
2 green chillies  salt to taste 
* Soak all the dals together for 4 hours.
* Grind them to a coarse paste(fairly dry)with red chillies, green chillies and asafoetida. Add chopped onion, curry leaves, salt and soda bicarb.
* Add two tablespoons of hot oil.
* Heat oil for deep frying.Make small balls,flatten and deep fry in batches in hot oil.
* Serve with chutney.
