Mutton Curry 
ATTIERAICHI   CURRY
800 gms mutton, cut into cubes
1 big onion, sliced finely
2 cloves garlic
4 green chillies, chopped finely
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup tamarind pulp
3 cloves  
2.5 cm piece ginger  
2 whole red chillies  
2 cardamoms  
oil as needed  
salt to taste  
 
  •  Fry the sliced onion in one tbsp oil. Add chopped ginger , garlic, green chillies and coriander powder. Fry for 30 secounds.
  • Add turmeric powder, crushed cloves, whole red chillies. Brown lightly.
  • Add the crushed cardamom seeds. Remove and grind all these to a fine paste, Reserve
  • Heat 8 tbsps oil,cleaned  mutton pieces and cook till brown.
  • Add the ground masala, salt to taste add fry. Add water and cook in a pressure cooker for 15-20 minutes .

  • When the meat is soft, add tamarind .
