1 kg, mutton  
1/2 kg, onions  
1/2 kg ,potatoes  
1 cup curd  
1/2 kg ,rice , soaked for an hour  
1, tsp, garam masala 
1/4 cup ,milk  
30 gms, almost and raisins  
2 tbsps ,ginger - garlic green chilli paste  
chilli powder and salt to taste  
2 tbsps, ghee
1. Peel the potatoes and cut into ling strips.
2. Boil the meat with the gingher - garlice paste in salted water. Remove when tender.
3. Slice the onions finely and fry in ghee till golden brown, then add the garam masala powder.
4. Add the potatoes , stir well and cook till tender .
5. Add curd   and stir well  till gravyis of thick consistency.
6. Add the milk ,chilli powder. salt , apricots, almonds and raisins and stir well till gravyis of thick consistincy.
7. Now add the raw rine and 4 cups of water . cover with a liband let it cook on low heat.
8. Dissolve a pinch of saffron in 2 tbsps of hot water , and add it to the rice when it is semi- cooked . when ready to serve , garnish with onion and tomato rings .
