Fish Coconut peanut Gravy
RASA MEEN
1 kg fish (pomfret)
250 gms peanuts
2tsp chillipowder
1 tsp turmeric
4 onions
2 cloves
2 tbsps tamarind pulp
3/4 cup coconut milk
1 tsp vinegar
oil as needed
salt to taste
1.Grind garlic, turmeric, salt and chilli powder.
2.Clean and slice the fish.
3.Apply the masala paste to fish pieces. leave aside for a while.
4.Deep fry the fish pieces to a golden brown colour.
5.Heat 5 tbsps oil and fry chopped onions till golden brown.
6.Add coconut milk , tamarind pulp and salt .
7.Add roasted powder peanuts. cook till gravy is thick and creamy.
8.Add vinegar and pour the gravy over the fried fish. serve hot.
