Chicken in Red Sauce
1/2 Kgs chicken pieces
2 tbsps ginger - garlic paste
6 red onions, grated finely
2 tbsps lemon juice
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsps gin
1 cup tomato sauce
8 red chillies, ground to a paste
Salt to taste
2 tbsps oil
1. Marinate the chicken in 1 tsp lemon juice for about an hour. then rub it well with salt and butter.
2. Now roast this for 30-35 minutes or till golden brown.
3. Heat the oil, add the onions and ginger - garlic paste.
4. When it turns pink, add the red chillie paste and stir for 2-3 minutes. Then add the lemon juice, salt, sugar and tomato sauce and mix well.
5. Allow to simmer till the gravy thickens. Then add the gin.
6. Pour this sauce over the roasted chicken and serve with potato chips.
